Alice Orpheus Alice Orpheus is a polymorphous French composer for acoustic instruments and electronics, whose work unfolds at the crossroads of jazz, contemporary classical music, electronic and electroacoustic practice.

His compositional language is grounded in a sustained dialogue between acoustic instruments and pre-recorded tape — where texture, timbre, and spatial memory meet.

Drawing from the human sciences and art history, he shapes works of strong conceptual and emotional intensity for string quartet, orchestra, and solo strings.

His practice extends across concert music, dance, and documentary film, and has led to collaborations with international luxury brands (Chanel, Goyard etc) and cultural institutions, a breadth that reflects his understanding of music as a social and emotional bond, articulated through his manifesto Il Nuovo Gesto.

His mixed music scores are published by Symetrie,
