SPIRITS FROM THE SAND

If we all have a different story made up in our mind when listening to music, we do all obey to the same narrative structure when listening to a precise piece. In Spirits from the sand, Alice Orpheus wanted to focus on the question of this commun narrative we all have. How do we all understand that we went from A to B.

How do we all understand that for exemple that the hero is lost ? Some will understand “I am lost”, some “he is lost”, some “she is, they are, we are lost ” some will feel scared… but everyone making up it’s own story will have connected to the feeling be lost, or confused. 

In Spirits from the sand, Alicia and Alice have build their own narrative,  but most importantly a precise horizontal and vertical mouvement in which the musical idea exists.
